Costco Flowers

Many brides have had good experiences ordering their flowers through Costco--petals, leis and bouquets.  Sometimes, Costco outsources to local flower stores, so you're getting a great price for floral boutique goods.

REVIEW: Val Spalding

A word of caution if you have a particular bouquet in mind. I was very specific about the bouquets, particularly the bridal bouquet. In every e-mail to Val, I specified the exact number of flowers and the wrap. We were getting married on the 17th so I wanted 17 white tulips in the bouquet with a ti leaf wrap. The final bouquets had the right flowers and colors but everything else was off. The bridal bouquet had 30+ flowers and a thick white satin ribbon wrap with a big bow. The bridesmaids' bouquets also had thick white satin ribbon wraps and one had thin organza ribbon on top. The flowers were delivered a few hours before the wedding so I didn't have time to fix them at that point. Apparently, Val was not going off of the instructions but off the sample pictures that I sent (which were nothing like the final bouquets) and her opinion of what looks best. I never did get an answer why one of the bridesmaids' bouquets was different from the rest. This approach may work for some but was the only disappointment on my wedding day. The bouquets looked fine on their own but didn't mesh very well with our minimalistic wedding.
Oh and the flowers were delivered almost an hour earlier than scheduled when none of the wedding party was at the venue.
Bottom line: Lovely arrangements, good prices, but don't expect Val to read or follow specific requests.
